The network of Argentine travel agencies under the umbrella organization Lufthansa CityCenter, has come up with a package for Argentines wishing to travel to the Falkland Islands, in search of a cultural approach with an emotive tour of the historic sites of the Islands.
Although the tour has a basic historic emphasis since it includes visiting battlegrounds from the 1982 conflict, Mount Longdon, Goose Green, San Carlos and cemeteries, it will also offer other activities and excursions in Port Stanley to learn about daily life and culture in the Islands.
Besides travelling by land there will be air links to Darwin and Goose Green settlement as well as Sea Lion to visit rookeries and sightseeing of whales, dolphins and other marine mammals.
The trips are scheduled for next September with an eight days, seven nights, itinerary. Three nights at Port Stanley, and then fly off to Sea Lion for two nights and finally another two nights' accommodation in Darwin.
The Falklands' week long package includes tours and can be with full board and /or breakfast in some hotels, plus air trips inside the Islands. The main flight will be from Rio Gallegos to Mount Pleasant airport that is located sixty kilometers from Port Stanley.
Travelers need to have passports and medical insurance, points out the package proposal.
