The advent of modified grains averted mass starvation in Third World countries, so the eco-terrorists want to ..... restore the prospect of malnutrition, economic debilitation, increased deforestation, and mass starvation to the Third World.

Unmodified grains. Can you prove that they are safe?

Can you tell Argentina and the rest of the undeveloped countries that you are going to remove the high output grains from the market and let them starve?

@4. It has recently been reported that a large proportion of argie wheat has little or no protein, to the extent that argieland is going to import wheat from Uruguay. Where did the seed for the argie wheat come from?

@5 “Where did the seed for the argie wheat come from?”

The low-protein yield of the problematic argie wheat comes from the cultivation practices. Other countries using the same seed stock are able to produce much higher protein content. It's a characteristically argie effect: large quantities, low quality.

Briton: The National Academy of Sciences reported this week that genetically engineered foods are indeed safe: http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2016/05/17/gmos-safe-academies-of-science-report-genetically-modified-food/84458872/

Funny how most Monsanto protesters will easily cite the fact that 97% of scientists agree on global warming being man made, yet will ignore the overwhelming findings of science that GE crops are indeed safe. Makes one question their true motives.

l'm still undecided about GM seeds.
ln a way man has been modifying seeds since we started to cultivate them.
For example, l think that Emmer has become Wheat thanks to man's selection & breeding.
lts the modified pesticides that l have a problem with.
