Lula may be a thief and Dilma might be an 'egocentric horrible nutcase', but it doesn't mean this isn't true. If the investigation was mostly going to damage the opposition why would she try to block it?

From other stories on here it sounds like every politician in Brazil from all parties was in on the corruption!

Rousseff apparently is a rarity as there is no suggestion, yet alone evidence that she has personally benefited in any way from corruption. On the contrary, she has never attempted to block the investigation. As for Lula, he has a point, if after two years of scrutiny. No evidence has been produced, put up or shut up.

Sarney is little more than a Mafia Mob boss from MA. If he was to have been wire tapped saying that the sun rose in the east and set in the west it would be wise to seek independent confirmation of this assertion before giving it any credence.
