A man from Argentina shelled out more than US$676,000 this weekend at an auction selling the personal belongings of Adolf Hitler and his deputy, Hermann Goering. The man, who remained anonymous, spent US$312,000 alone on what is believed to be one of Hitler's last uniform jackets. Read full article

Jun 21st, 2016 - 11:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0Germans cant be seen to buy this stuff, so an Argentine does! Says it all about Argentina.
Jun 21st, 2016 - 01:21 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Juan Adolf Perón was a big fan of the European fascists of the 1930s. He even incorporated some of Mussolini's government programmes when he took power in his Argentine Reich.
Jun 21st, 2016 - 01:26 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Well I for one think that it is disgusting that he has paid all that money to get his old coat back.
Jun 21st, 2016 - 09:31 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I wonder what sort of freebie Mossad will be sending him once the tracker they hide on the jacket confirms his position? Whatever it is, I bet he has a blast!
@3 chronic,
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 12:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0Not made up.
Great-grandfather was in the R.A.(Royal Artillery)
Although the artillery didn't always have to do hand-to-hand fighting, they sometimes had to patrol to relieve the lnfantry.
G/G was on horseback at night, right near the end of the war, when we had broken through the German trench system.
He had to ride through the snow to a certain copse of trees, give a low whistle, which would be answered, then ride on to meet another soldier.
He did this & when he rode to meet the other man, he discovered that it was a German also on horseback.
As my grandfather tells it-what did you do, Dad? Did you shoot him?
No, son, he was only a boy & he said in English, l'm hungry
So G/G gave him 2 tins of bully beef & the young German gave G/G a paperknife that he had made from a shell casing.
Then they both turned & rode away.
lt has engraved on the blade Ypres 1916.
True whether you believe or not.
lol to you, too.
Sure.

Jun 22nd, 2016 - 04:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0@8 Great story. Behind all the hatred of war are just people, or in this case a boy.
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 10:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0Didn't someone say there is a sucker born every minute?
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 12:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I think in the case of racially ANGLO countries he underestimated the rate of birth by a factor of 10.
What can be more cliché and obvious for any anonymous buyer of Nazi parafanalia hiding behind clothes than to say he came from Argentina... publicity stunt.
Of course the single-neuroned Anglos here buy the story hook and sinker. Hahahaha
@12 Back from where? Are you out on parole?
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 12:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0My observation is valid. Would not be shocked its an EUian. Many EUians want to instaurate the 4th reich in their countries.
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 01:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The media here and in Germany are appropriately convinced that not only was the Nazi artifact buyer an argento, but there is growing speculation in both Germany and Argentland that Argentine Nazis are involved. Duh.
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 01:53 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentine media: An Argentine citizen bought over 50 items of Nazi artifacts and antiques including a former jacket worn by Adolf Hitler last weekend at auction in a combined purchase worth over US$580,000....
Perhaps the Mossad will soon help us identify just who the argento or argentos are.
KepiTroll vainly attempting to deflect the fascist nature of Argentland as usual.
Faschismus Argentinien.
Go on Nostril, admit it was you that bought Goerings underpants. BTW is that your Dad with the toothbrush moustache? Lol!
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 02:25 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@12. Look in the mirror. See a sucker. And a brainless sucker at that!
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 04:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@14. The Fourth Reich already controls argieland. So sorry, but it' going to have to be bombed to oblivion. But, this time, not at the cost of more than 5,000 British aircrew. One unstoppable missile launch and you're toast. Laugh your head off about that!
TTT is on day release and Conquerer is pissed again.
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 05:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0#12/14 What can be more cliché and obvious for any “anonymous” buyer of Nazi parafanalia hiding behind clothes than to say he came from Argentina... publicity stunt.
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 05:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0As you say, cliché and obvious and he claimed to be from Argentina. So where is your evidence that he is not from Argentina? No, you haven't got any (again). You don't like the story so dismiss it as a probable lie.
Of course the single-neuroned Anglos here buy the story hook and sinker.
In the absence of any other evidence, the story can only be taken at face value. This is not buying the story hook, (line) and sinker. If the buyer claimed to be Argentine, but lied, then the story actually remains true, as reported. Don't try to shoot the messenger.
My observation is valid. Would not be shocked its an EUian.
Your observation is not valid because you have observed nothing and simply stated an opinion. You believe the buyer to be European. You may be correct, but do you have any evidence for this apart from your prejudices? No, of course not. You never do.
Many EUians want to instaurate the 4th reich in their countries.
Define many. Provide facts to support this claim.
Why is your racism against Europeans somehow better than any European racism?
I would assume that the current Nasties would be embarrassed to have their brand be associated with the ineffectual rg.
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 06:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Does this whole thing mean that the Nazis are hidden somewhere underground right here under my feet?
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 09:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Creeps! Just a few days ago one of the subte´s motormen looked a bit like Goering!
Mmmm ...
The DAIA (Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas) is acting on the intel that the Argie buyer of the Nazi panties may very well be an Argie after all. And if the stuff is headed for the Argentland Reich , apparently they are going to try to confirm whether it's headed for a legitimate museum or not. Likewise German media are pressing for the identification of the argento who made the purchases. Should be interesting to follow as this unfolds. Stay tuned.
Jun 22nd, 2016 - 10:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0And remember whose government sheltered Eichmann and thousands of other Nazi war criminals. And the church that also helped get those thousands to the Argentland Reich.
After all the crazy violence, sporting matches, and general news events of the last couple weeks finally a day when nothing of consequence is happening anywhere.

Jun 23rd, 2016 - 12:44 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Three more Kirchnerista ex-officials indicted on money laundering charges here. But I guess that is getting to be commonplace.
Nostril, the violence continues in Syria and Libya (and the house of course :-))). Euro 2016 is under way, its Wimbledon next week, and Britain is voting to decide whether to remain in the EU today. We know you live in a fantasy world flipping burgers (or were you sacked?), in a backwater suburb of a backwater town in a backwater country situated in a backwater continent and your pathetic studied indifference to anything that overshadows your own miserable existence is purely a sham. Keep taking the meds, get a life and grow up. Post something intelligent for once!

Jun 23rd, 2016 - 05:24 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Well you certainly aren't responding to me at #19. Why is it that you either don't respond, run away or change your name when I challenge you to produce facts to back up your claims?
As Marti says #22, it will be interesting to see whether the facts do ultimately support your unsubstantiated claims. Given your track record here, I'd guess not.
How about changing your name to I_Trolltally_Invent_Everything_I_Post?
