US Secretary of State John Kerry said that Britain's vote to leave the European Union might never be implemented and that London is in no hurry to go. Speaking one day after talks with Prime Minister David Cameron, Kerry said the outgoing British leader feels “powerless” to negotiate a departure he does not want. Read full article

This is an exciting and fantastic opportunity and I personally cannot wait to see the those filthy words European Union removed from my passport.
WE are British and independent at last.
He just figures a vote can be ignored?

The referendum isn't a mandate?

Best two out of three?
What happened to Obammy's back of the line?
Is it as tangible as Obammy's line in the sand?
Oh, Kerry.
Why the long face?

Jun 30th, 2016 - 05:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Of course Cameron doesn't want to pull the trigger, but I'm afraid there is no way the government can get out of it now. EU leaders have already said they won't negotiate until Article 50 is invoked, so once a new Prime Minister is in place, it will happen, and we will all have to live with the consequences.
The articles I have seen saying the referendum is not legally binding, or they could hold another one etc make me think of the 5 stages of grief. Apparently lots of journalists are stuck in denial.

I have never seen such a puerile and juvenile opinion of the result of the referendum. Little England will accept you as their Clown Prince!
I am proud to be English and British and served proudly in the Royal Navy and believe the referendum will only lead to economic and social disaster.

Jun 30th, 2016 - 07:39 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I'm puerile? Oh please Mr Kerry, please save us one and all and my poor children.....jeez! You sound like you fell out of a Charles Dickens novel.
We don't need any US democrats to save us, they were shoving us to the back of the queue remember. We can save ourselves and you are living in the past.

He even changed from CofE to the Devil's tribe to be closer to 'Rome'.
Cringeworthy posts I know but I really feel sorry for the family of this coward, denying them the new future that awaits them.
,Kerry not convinced UK will finally invoke Article 50

Repeal the 1972 European Communities Act immediately on EU Referendum OUT vote.
We need call upon our MPs to repeal the 1972 European Communities Act immediately should the EU Referendum result in a Leave majority vote, thus making membership of the EU null and void, without any further interference from the government or the EU
just a thought
