Jihad Ahmad Diyab, the ex Guantanamo Syrian inmate which was liberated and given refuge in Uruguay, and apparently recently crossed the border to neighboring Brazil has not infringed any law and is not on the run, according to Christian Mirza who acts as a link between the Uruguayan government and the ex Guantanamo prisoners accepted by Uruguay at the end of 2014. Jul 09th, 2016 - 12:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Uruguay has had considerable trouble with the few bat-shit mad Islamists that Pepe was kind enough to offer succour to.

So let's hope this one stays in Brazil.
Abusing their Uruguayo wives and creating bad feelings in the locals seem the main problems?

Jul 12th, 2016 - 07:53 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Oh dear, it will be another 12 hail Mary's to clear you venal lies!
Firstly, tell those reading this how many times have you been to Uruguay: NONE.
What do you know about the murders the last president and most of his cohorts did: absolutely nothing.
How about your 'girlfriend' The Cracken? She was going to visit Uruguay whilst she claimed she lived in The Dark Country. Did she? NO. But of course she knows her opinion, based on nothing of substance. Tell me, is she a catholic as well as a hysterical feminist?
I know you 'like' to goad me, you being a dedicated RCCunt this being true to the present faith without a doubt. Do you feel goaded yourself yet?
How about Mary being a 'virgin'? A bit like the pimp of a 12 YO prostitute in Venezuela telling the 100th customer 'she's almost a virgin, don't you agree. Feeling a bit hot under the collar yet? I bet you are.
Now the reality. My wife and I have been married almost 46 years and we have been here almost six years.
The locals are amazed at how much I know about current events and the dreadful government who has managed to crash the economy and why? They are only elected because many disparate 'parties' some of

Jul 13th, 2016 - 03:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I don't feel goaded at all! Your feeble and pathetic attempts to do so are like water off a duck's back! I have a very thick skin - you clearly have not.
You bleat away on pretty well every topic that appears here but clearly your six years in Uruguay have not helped to learn too much about Latin America and/or its peoples. Your atheist fascination with the Roman Catholic Church is risible - you know nothing about the faith yet you concentrate on one very sad chapter in it's history and very little else. I would remind you that according to the BBC there are an estimated 1.2 billion Roman Catholics in the world, according to Vatican figures. More than 40% of the world's Catholics live in Latin America so my personal beliefs should be of little importance to you against the enormous number of my co-religionists.
Your comment How about Mary being a 'virgin'? A bit like the pimp of a 12 YO prostitute in Venezuela telling the 100th customer 'she's almost a virgin, don't you agree. Feeling a bit hot under the collar yet? I bet you are. is grossly offensive to the 12 yer old prostitute in Venezuela - you should be lamenting the fact that she is a prostitute! And just why should I feel a bit hot under the collar? I support women's rights and lament that some women worldwide are obliged to prostitute their bodies in order to sustain themselves and their families.
Your last paragraph just shows are nice and polite the Uruguayan people are - to put up with you for 6 years!

You are demonstrably thick if you really believe the RCC didn't manipulate 'the faith' to their own ends and are still doing so with the help of the likes of you.
So you agree with not allowing abortions to women infected with Zika whilst pregnant?
@6 ChrisR
Jul 14th, 2016 - 06:59 am - Link - Report abuse 0It is very sad that women should have to resort to abortions for any reason including infection by the A. aegypti mosquito which causes dengue fever, chikungunya, Zika fever and yellow fever viruses, and other diseases and is a threat in tropical Latin America and other regions.
It is pleasing to see that much work is being done to find a vaccine for these infections.
I do not believe in abortion under any circumstances BUT as a supporter of women's rights I also believe that women should be permitted to make any choice with regard to their own bodies.

Jul 14th, 2016 - 10:36 am - Link - Report abuse 0At last a truly sensible view from an RCC believer.
Now I do mean this:
perhaps you would make a great Pope, with this grounding in reality anyone holding your views would be just what this ailing organization requires.
@8 ChristR
Jul 14th, 2016 - 01:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0To which ailing organization are your referring? Happily the Roman Catholic Church is in a good place - are you not aware of the three Ordinariates 1)Our of Walsingham(British) 2) The Chair of St Peter(USA) and 3) Our Lady of the Southern Cross(Australia)? These were set up by Pope Benedict in order for the millions of Anglicans - like me - who dissatisfied with the Anglican Communion for various reasons could become Catholics but still retaining elements of the Anglican faith, such as its liturgy. I became a Catholic quite independently of the Ordinariates.
The Catholic faith is thriving in spite of the efforts of individuals like you who strive to belittle our beliefs with untrue statistics and non facts!
May God bless you and lead you into the true path!
