Am no Tony Blair supporter but “I am with you whatever” could mean a range of intended commitment from merely moral support to actual military involvement.
Prescott is just blowing with the wind as usual.

Indeed, blowing lots of wind, and if he feels so sad and angry about it, he should resign his peerage, afterall it was only bestowed on him because of his former position as Deputy Prime Minister. Let him be accountable and do the good thing - resign!

Prescott is a nothing trying to justify himself. Often called “Two Jags” because his corruption allowed him to own and run two Jaguar cars. Best known for banging his secretary on his office desk. He's always been ultra gabby.

Who decides whether a war is “illegal”? Where are the “rules” written? Anybody recall the part of the UN Charter that enshrines the freedom of action of sovereign states? How come there wasn't worldwide condemnation of argieland's “illegal” attack on the Falkland Islands? How come argieland got away with saying “It wasn't us”? Argieland has incredible double standards. It illegally invaded the Falkland Islands in 1832. It illegally installed a military garrison and tried to set up a penal colony on British territory. And yet, for some convoluted reason, it sees the British expulsion of those invaders as some sort of justification for a “claim” to sovereignty. It tried again in 1982. What a shame that Britain acted with restraint. Should have shelled Buenos Aires. Still, next time!

Russia and Iran might give it a shot.
They did their absolute best to undermine US and UK forces.
Yeah....have a word with Putin and those Islamic tossers in Tehran.
UK's involvement is over.....which is what you wanted.
Just wish Saddam and his sons were still around so we could reinstate them in power.

Of course it was illegal. We don't need a British aristocrat to tell us that.
