Just shows how wet and feeble the current Ur President is - somebody needs to tell him - you only hurt your balls in the end trying to sit on both sides of the fence.

“Rules don't mention a word about quorum in such a situation, so we're going ahead despite the position of some members”, says Vasquez....

Well, quorum may not be mentioned in the rules, but what about the “democratic clause” ?That is ...
I think that both Paraguay and Brazil should simply boycott the meetings and then refuse to abide by any decisions taken by the other three.

Vasquez misread the situation that “No Money Pepe” left him with, quite why this should be so is beyond everybody I know.

Talk about the bleeding obvious: Pepe cocked everything up that he touched and Vasquez didn't know?

Shouldn't be the president in that case. I think however given the rough ride he is getting he wishes he WASN'T president.

It would be funny if it didn't affect everybody in the country.

I told you he wouldn't keep the presidency of Mercosur!

According to Wikipedia: “Its purpose is to promote free trade and the fluid movement of goods, people, and currency. The official languages are Spanish, Portuguese and Guarani.[9] It has been updated, amended, and changed many times since. It is now a full customs union and a trading bloc. Mercosur and the Andean Community of Nations are customs unions that are components of a continuing process of South American integration connected to the Union of South American Nations.”

That's funny...there is no free trade and fluid movement of goods or people anywhere....if we go to Chile and buy something...we are taxed to high heaven on our purchases. You line up for hours to cross the border into Chile. I really can't see that this organization is anything but a “socialist” bunch of corrupt politicians.
