The British Embassy in Chile participated at the mining conference Medmin to strengthen the importance of British innovative solutions for the mining sector in a country which is highly dependent on minerals and is the world's leading exporter of copper. Read full article

Too bad that presidenta “Miss Piggy” Chanchelet was not in attendance. She might have learned something useful.

She is clearly in need of learning (and doing) something useful, given her plummeting acceptance in the country and the growing disdain for the Chilean Socialist Party and its leftist coalition. The latest polls give her something like 15 percent approval, the lowest of any leader in South America. Even Pinochet had immensely greater approval.
