Oxford leads world university rankings; 15 out of 20 top list are from US

Oxford University has come top of The Times Higher Education world university rankings - a first for a UK university. Oxford knocks California Institute of Technology, the top performer for the past five years, into second place. But there are warnings the vote to leave the European Union could destabilize UK higher education and hinder work with academics abroad. Read full article

    Now take a look at the rankings for Latin American universities (which still isn't saying much). In the top 25 of those rankings we see Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Perú......and Argentina? Nowhere. Nothing. Nada, nadísima.

    It's about time the Chancellors (some students say chancers) started to look for solutions instead of relying on the UK for funding except for genuine scientific research.

    Brexit might just be the kick up the backside they need.
