The Embassy have put Assange on the Naughty Step. He should be careful not to upset his hosts or he may have to face justice like a mere mortal.

Hahaha, I was wondering how happy Ecuador were feeling at the prospect of a Trump Presidency.

Assange was a fool, he didn't even have that high a change of conviction if he'd gone to Sweden, and would likely be out again by now even he had been convicted. Now he has to finish out 10 years in the Ecuadorian office suite if he wants all the charges to expire.

But Assange will still be held to account by UK authorities for jumping bail. That could mean some prison time, or at least a hefty fine.

The UK doesn't have a statute of limitations. So anyone can be held to account for any crime they committed no matter how long ago it was.

So he could end up doing at least 10 years in his own self imposed jail, followed by some actual jail time on remand (its doubtful he'd be granted bail as he's an obvious flight risk), followed by some more jail time if found guilty (which he will be because he is guilty of jumping bail).

I wonder how many of his 'friends' who lost their shirts when he jumped bail the 1st time would be willing to help him out a 2nd time?

    A friend sent me this:

A man died and went to Heaven.

As he stood in front of the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, “What are all those clocks for?”

St. Peter answered, “Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone who has ever been on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock move.”

“Oh”, said the man. “Whose clock is that?”

“That's Mother Teresa's”, replied St. Peter. “The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie.”

“Incredible”, said the man. “And whose clock is that one?”

St. Peter responded, “That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abraham told only two lies in his entire life.”

“Where’s Donald Trump's clock?“ asked the man. St. Peter replied, “We're using it as a ceiling fan.”

All the polls show The Hill a million percent in the lead, but it's the vote on the day that counts!

    :o)

Does any one really believe that Sweden the home of leftist leaning ideologues would ever have passed Assenge on to the USA ? I don't for one . He has spent 4 years self imposed imprisonment in the Ecuadorian embassy for nothing

There is no way the Swedish government would have handed Assange to the U.S. and he knows it. This is all about him not wanting to face the charges of sexual assault, and you have to wonder why he has anything to fear.

Every day Assange spends in that tiny embassy is a win for me.

1583 days and counting. Hope it goes on for another 1583 at least.

And now that they have change the wifi password and not told him it, what will happen?

    Bahahahahahahahaha

When Hillary becomes president, she is going to want to crucify him. Now he really has to hole up. He's wanted even more by the U.S. now.

It was time the bumbling nation of Ecuador did something about Assange.

Assange is now beginning to annoy the Ecuadorian government...he's an idiot who may find himself outside the embassy in no time at all.

First they cut off the internet.
    Then they stop feeding him.
Then they just physically boot him out.
Then he gets arrested, and put on a plane to Sweden, where if there's any justice in the world, he'll be found guilty and spend 10-30 years in prison...never getting extradited to the USA because he's a liar.

You would think that someone who runs Wikileaks which can hack Hillary Clintons emails but can't find one shred of evidence that the USA and Sweden struck a deal to extradite him!

As for Wikileaks...isn't it strange how they only attack Western governments...they never leak anything on the Chinese, Russians or South Americans. One would think that Wikileaks...far from being neutral...was pushing a political agenda of their own...probably being paid for by the Chinese and the Russians too.

Julian Assage...a supporter of totalitarian dictatorships who murder thousands of people and probably a rapist on top of that too. A despicable human being...like Snowden.

    @ LEPRecon

Speaking of Snowden I was at the premier of the film about him last weekend. I was attending a few premiers at the LFF and this was the only one I was conflicted about seeing but determined to view with an open mind. I even resisted sticking my leg out when Oliver Stone walked by me on the Red Carpet. But far from being the typical hero vs. the establishment I thought the film would be it failed to elicit any sympathy for Snowden at all. He failed in the military. He failed the entrance tests for the CIA (but some idiot took a punt on him). He failed in field ops. He was entirely unsuited to work in intelligence. But because he knew too much to just walk away he colluded with The Guardian to save his own skin, not out of any real desire to inform the public.

Information gathering is at times a dirty business and it is best most people don't know the details. Snowden had a weirdly naive impression that the world is divided into goodies and badies, like cartoon characters. When he saw the reality he had an attack of moral superiority and decided to use the privileged information he had access to and become a traitor. He was and still is a twit.

When his attempt to flee to South America was thwarted he got stuck in Russia and had Wikileaks fame whores jumping in his spotlight and tarnishing him further. He got what he deserved and who knows what he will do when is short-term residency expires. Who cares?

On a positive note, the Neruda film is very stylish and witty so catch it if you can.

“but determined to view with an open mind.”

Congratulations on the new experience, you should go for a few more of these experiences and then you may be able to join the rest of us on here.

We can only imagine how difficult it can be to open her mind for someone who is always stating she can make it up without reading anything anybody else has written or linked to, because 'she knows'.

Ecuador definitely shut him down over anti-Clinton posts

Yeah, they said they did because they didn't want Assange messing with the U.S. election. The fame whore will be bereft. Even his contingency plan for leaking emails is being lost in the news because of Trump being Trump.

Does any leader other than Putin want to see Trump in the White House?

The government of Ecuador does not control Assange's Internet connectivity. This story is about nothing.

    How would you know?

It's obvious that neither Wiki Leaks nor Assange control his Internet access.
