NYT: “ Did Donald Trump’s sheer unconventionality lead us and other news outlets to underestimate his support among American voters?”

Probably the real reasons could be found in the NYT's inimitable degree of self-delusion, in its habitual deliberate ignorance of the true nature of a substantial portion of the country, its own abhorrent arrogance and egregious elitism, and its narcissistic but failed attempts to create an expansive electorate in its own image.

Ever since coming to Uruguay (66 months ago) I had a link to the NYT but got heartily sick of the biased 'reporting' and editorial pieces during the run-up to the election so I deleted the link.

I hope the existing subscribers realise they were continually lied to about Clinton and cancel their subscription.

I had for many, many years, too long to remember when I started it, a subscription to The Daily Telegraph.

My automatic renewal came three days before an unannounced major rethink of how the paper was to be 'relaunched': gone were comments from ALL reported articles. Gone also any chance to contact somebody breathing about the 'meedja' face it now had that was clearly aimed at adolescent numbnuts.

So I cancelled that but they kept locking me out of subscriber articles, despite assuring me that I would still have access until the end of my present subscription and it took several days for them to agree they were at fault and restore my access.

These publications do not deserve to be in business and the way TDT is going with the circulation in free-fall it won't be long.

Take a good long look in the mirror, Hillary, before the next government's FBI decides you'd really look better in Penal Orange.
