Francois Fillon, a socially conservative free-market, won France’s center-right presidential primaries on Sunday, setting up a likely showdown next year with far-right leader Marine Le Pen that the pollsters expect him to win. Remember 'Yes Minister' when Sir Humphrey was trying to educate the new PM about the nuclear deterrent?
Hacker crowed 'but the Russians wouldn't dare to use The Bomb” and was taken aback when Humphrey told him it was there for the French!
