Hahaha! Love the devil's horns they have given him. That can't be unintentional.

Whatever you think of him it seems a correct choice.

Oh, definitely. It is not Nicest Person of the Year, it is the person who has the biggest impact on the news. Look at past winners, Hitler, Stalin (twice), Khrushchev etc.

Many people are confused exactly what this means. Bin Laden was suppose to the the MOY for 2001 but there was uproar because too many seem to think that it is an award....and far from it.

Agree, nice position of that M

Celebrity deportations are with the 19 million illegals being deported. I am more interested in seeing the beautiful wall and watching Mexico pay for it, or Drop that “dirty, rotten traitor” Bowe Bergdahl out of an airplane into desolate Afghanistan without a parachute, bringing back 25 million jobs from China, Promise #51......reduce the national debt, Cut the budget by 20 percent by simply renegotiating, On his first day in office, Trump would get rid of gun-free zones at military bases and in schools, Use “common sense” to fix the mental health system and prevent mass shootings( maybe have his trumpets stop tweeting fake news), Impose a minimum sentence of five years in federal prison for any violent felon who commits a crime using a gun, Allow concealed-carry permits to be recognized in all 50 states, Sign an executive order calling for the death penalty for anyone found guilty of killing a police officer(so much for state rights), End birthright citizenship, Triple the number of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers.

He is not President and it's early but these are his “reasonable” promises waiting to see. I am not sure he fully understand his role, what needs Congress and state laws and rights. He is only President elect and he cannot deal with the criticism at his minimal level, just wait until he is behind the curtain pulling levers and filling rooms with smoke! Lowest approval ratings of a president elect in quite some time......41%

Again, let's watch that debt clock and budget deficit and see who the extreme right jerkingoffs blame then, two years and we will see a drastic tsunami of change arrival.

Do you think he's going to just abandon most of his extravagant promises immediately? And will his supporters care if he does?

Or will he actually try to carry some of them out, and will the Republicans let him?

I guess no one really knows since he's never been in power before; anything could happen. But I predict if he does rapidly increase the national debt, the right will mostly keep quiet about it and his supporters won't care at all.

Hasn't he just announced that he is staying as Executive Producer of Celebrity Apprentice? He really does not understand the role of POTUS and I am pretty sure he never will.

Democracy is voting for the person we want to blame for everything for the next four years but in his case we can start now. He is diminishing the office before taking up residence.

As the only Yankee contributor here, can you tell the rest of us what the man in the street says in the USA?

Do the average people openly say, “ I voted for Trump and I'm proud”?

This is merely my opinion mind you, from what I see and where I go……Massachusetts, Boston area and Western Central, along with NYC where my family resides. I have not been about much since the election, but most people here are quite polarized. The main Trumpets absolutely hate what they always call the left liberals and there are left just as militant as the extreme right trumpets. The swing voters the made his vote…….are silently feeling regrets but want to hold out hope and not judge before he is even in the office.
Some of the real concerns are the he and not denouncing the extreme haters like the white supremacist. Nor is he doing anything about his picks perpetuating fake news. Like the shooting at the DC pizzeria, or the death threats that the parents of Sandy Hook victims are getting, because these nut jobs believe the shooting in Connecticut at the elementary school was staged. He is not leading by example by any means.
There are many concerned about his buddy buddy attitude with Putin and Russia, despite even the GOP is remounting a strong opposition to Russia. People also feel that something bad is going to happen on his watch whether it is to the USA or the USA initiating something. If his transition was not really happening, it would be quite a comical. WWE head in a cabinet position…….HUD being run because he lived in public housing. EPA being head by someone who equates factual science as alchemy and bloodletting in the same sentence. Check out the green water in Florida…….because of the GOP there deregulated it. Read comments after yahoo and MSN news stories. But I forewarn you, where a crash helmet because when you read trumpet comments, you will want to ram your head into a solid concrete wall. You can’t make up what they think and write. Read them, and then have a trumpet try and convince you that trumpets are educated. They don’t realize that GED’s don’t count as an advanced education.
    We’re back in the 60’s.

    Thanks. I think.
It's definitely the end of the world as we know it.

Let's see how many of these people blame the Trump
f*ck ups on Obama or Bill Clinton.

What will they be saying a year from now, I wonder?

As a followup to the level and thought process we are talking with trumpets. The DC pizzeria shooter who believed the fake news of Clinton and Podesta operation a child sex slave ring out of it, had some regrets for the shooting but no one was injured, so it's ok in his mond. Then, commentators calling the entire event fake news to make trumpets like like loons. You can can't make this shit up.

On another note, his DoD pick....Mathis, great general and I am certain he will do well for the military up until he resigns under a cow disease mad president. As an old soldier, marines with fight the shit out you you calling a marine a soldier and Trump keeps comparing him to Patton, a Soldier........he should be comparing him to Gen.Chesty Puller if he needs to make comparisons. Eitherway, he's one balls to the wall man to lead the DoD.

A funny little aside, anyone who has every been around Trump knows feel well he loaths the underclass.....under his class and that means the less than desirable's who voted for him.

I'll leave you with two Trump quotes:

“An ‘extremely credible source’ has called my office and told me that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud”

“My fingers are long and beautiful, as, it has been well documented, are various other parts of my body.”

For a little light relief you might like to read the article on McSweeney's site 'WHY I’M LEAVING MY JOB AT THE ILLUMINATI AND JOINING THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION”

It is thoroughly amusing or absolutely true, depending on your level of sanity.

Voted for Trump twice and poopi, if he can deliver 10% of the campaign rhetoric and a couple of non liberal bias supreme court justices - I'll be satisfied.

About Scott Pruitt: Not only is he very pro business but he was one of the first to recognize the new generation of crime spawned by the legalized marijuana industry.

Whether Chronic is really American or not, there are apparently a lot of people like him living there.

But presumably a lot of normal people voted for Trump as well, are things really that bad in the US?

And if the fake news continues to get more common, does it even matter what he does? It hasn't so far.

You can tell that this cabinet has some real potential to shake up business as usual because career department bureaucrats are literally puking in the halls.

You've got these two competing dynamics of populism and enterprise running rampant through Trump's crew and at this point they're cheerfully oblivious of each other.

At the very least the smaller government rhetoric is going to be put to the test.

The pentagon finally revealed an audit showing in excess of one contractor for each employee while trying to increase their own budget.

The rinos are just as big an impediment to a reduction in government as are the dems.

So as the bought and paid for elements of congress try to ameliorate the possibility of any global changes in US governance, know this: If you liked the Obamy administrations and even if the coming years trend towards peace and prosperity in your favor - you probably aren't going to enjoy them if you fall under the sphere of influence of this regime.

So long as we're being zoologically correct, shouldn't that be 'Orangutan of the year'?

Regime........perfect fit for the Orangutan.....The “Orangutan Regime”. Unfortunately, that chimp is bending over in front of Putin in the name of his personal interests and he chooses Tillerson to slather the KY jelly. Everyone now sees a much more rapid decline of the USA. However, there are a few GOP Senators sticking to their principles......all the while Pissball Ryan is young and hopes for another chance at POTUS.......but can kiss it goodbye after the GOP plays a game of coitus with the seniors, doubles the national debt for today's level and removes 25 million from Obamacare. Perhaps we all can refer to the Trump regime years as “The Years of Living dangerously”.

So many poor predictions of YB. Perhaps he may never show his face....er, posts again. Interesting reading his old stuff, I guess he will remain with the current name......for now. In fact many posters old stuff is interesting in light of the world's current events..

    Reeeeeeeekie.........I'm home!

    http://en.mercopress.com/2015/12/16/argentina-outlines-oil-and-gas-wellhead-price-policy

On another note, how fast will Trump deliver the USA on a silver platter to Putin in the name of personal enrichment? Let's read some old predictions on Russia........for the fun of it.

The beginning of the end for the USA.

Tally the USA national debt 19,000,000,000,000 as of today.

    12/31/2017?
    12/31/2018?
    12/31/2019?

and, and, and.........Who can possibly be more important than the citizens of the USA? Businesses of the USA.........Good bye America.
