It worked so well the last time. Hardly a leaf moved without El Tata knowing about it. Think of the wonders that such a government could produce in Chile today.
Pinochet would have seen to it that these people were hunted down and killed, as they should be. The present government isn't competent to do anything, other than continue reducing freedom and prosperity with more socialism.
At least this time Chile probably doesn't need to worry about the Soviet bloc supporting the bad guys and the Cubans landing tonnes of arms and materiel for the terrorists on their beaches, nor the Soviet support for people like Bachelet.
