Australia, Brazil and Russia all rode the resources boom.
While Russia and Brazil turned into economic basket cases at the end, Australia continued to grow and successfully transitioned to growth elsewhere.
We're about to celebrate 25 years without a recession and our economy is nearly the same size as Russia's.
Brazil could learn a lot from how Australia manages itself. We have lower debt, poverty, unemployment and inflation. We have higher economic growth and population growth.
