Twelve more Venezuelans lost their lives on Friday in violence associated with a wave of anti-government demonstrations, including eight who died electrocuted when they came in contact with a 220 kV cable while looting a bakery. Yet still the naive socialists can't distinguish between living within your means and so called austerity? £1 billion a week spent on national debt interest has to be cut.
I agree Corbyn is an idiot about Venezuela, and there are plenty of things I disagree with him on. But you don't understand austerity.
Apr 24th, 2017 - 02:33 pm - Link - Report abuse -2Even the Tories know that that drastically cutting spending or raising taxes would plunge the country back into recession, and that is why the government are still spending more than they get in taxes and have done so every year since the Great Recession. Their plan was to
reduce the deficit gradually instead, and they were planning to get it down to zero by 2020 before Brexit intervened. Now we will not be living within our means for many more years, no matter who is elected.
