The European Commission president has said that it was the duty of Europe to stand up to the US if President Donald Trump decides to pull his country out of the Paris climate change accord. Pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord could either be a storm in a tea-cup, a blessing in disguise or actually be a good news - depending upon how one sees it - because:
Jun 02nd, 2017 - 10:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0- The concerned US industries and the State Governments are now more determined to go ahead ANYWAY, without the Federal Govt's interference &/or the lack of interest and with the additional support from the US citizens as well as from the 195 other member nations.
- The dramatic, irreversible and catastrophic climate changes to occur may require a few generations; which gives enough time to reverse the situation, by using improved ideas & technologies.
- The next president may take a leading role in the Paris Climate Accord - in about two to eight years [most probably TWO] of Trump.
