Falklands' increase in landing fee will help fund the Museum & National Trust

The Falkland Islands government, FIG, has announced that as from the 1st July 2018, the landing fee for tourists arriving in Stanley shall increase from £21 to £25. The fee for those arriving into other destinations in the Islands shall remain at £7.50. Read full article

    I think that Argentine “visitors” coming in by air or sea should be charged double this fee and if they dare to wave their flag and upset the Islanders with their crass comments then it should be quadrupled. This way the Museum will get more than the amount of funding it requires very rapidly.

    Wish we could- but for so long as we come under the EU Human Rights Laws there is little we can do apparently - especially when we have a soft Att. General who may be more concerned with clean slate and tick in box towards next job career move than they are with the wishes and life of the local people.
