This is just terrible. More terrible was Trump's son leaping to condemn the 'hatred of the Liberals' when his own father started this divisive brand of politics. Trump took campaigning into the gutter and made a more divided country. He is still campaigning as he is too stupid to realise he is the president of all US citizens, not just the ones who voted for him. For every left-wing nutter with a gun there is a right-wing nutter with a gun.

Violence, especially in the political field, is always regrettable. It is also regrettable that many don't realize the destructive capacities of modern weapons that are able to fire huge numbers of rounds in a very short time, multiplying an individual's capacity to kill and maim before anyone has time to intervene.
Some Republicans have argued that more freedom to carry weapons would be the solution. Sure.
