Disclaimer & comment rulesThick Arses = Liberals. How can you expect to stay in the single market and NOT have open border immigration? Silly arses- the EU has always made that rule clear- that's why countries like Norway who are not in the EU - but are in the single market- have to have open borders with the EU!
Aug 09th, 2017 - 11:31 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The majority of voters in UK clearly voted to leave the EU - top of their list was the Immigration issue - therefore anyone but thick Liberals can see that means UK leaves the single market! Issues were clear to all before they voted - some can claim they did not understand - to late now - why did you turn out and vote if you did not understand!
How can you expect to stay in the single market and NOT have open border immigration?
Aug 11th, 2017 - 10:17 am - Link - Report abuse 0During the Brexit campaigning Boris promised people exactly that. It's unknown how many people believed his lies but the result was very close; it's highly likely that a majority of voters in the UK would NOT choose to leave the single market if it was put to a vote.
But the anti-immigration voices are shouting the loudest, and the government is currently following UKIP-like policies, to the whole country's detriment. It would clearly be better to stay in the single market for an interim period, but our ministers are so afraid of the anti-immigration lobby and the tabloids who would accuse them of being traitors that they won't even agree to that.
