Why is it no surprise that it was all going to be down to short term benefit (money) over long term mutual benefits...

It should be obvious to any objective observer the UK's confabulations are for domestic consumption, as the gutty little Brits stand tall against the evil Huns of the EU. But as their clocks get cleaned in what will clearly be an embarrassing accounting process in which the EU will go soft on the UK so as not to rub it in, the 60 billion euro figure will be grudgingly accepted even by them. Then the reality of this sham battle against the egregious outrage the EU dared insist upon that which was theirs will be realized all the way to the ballot boxes revealing Labour dislodging the Tories for perhaps the greatest folderol in the history of Old Anglia.

Meantime the EU will exact revege upon the audacious Brexiteers by showing the combined weight of the 27 are in the drivers' seat running down the single pedestrian, by levying the most punitive package of trade dictats on their former member than Ms May could imagine in her worst possible scenario. O the Humanity; O the carnage to come.

The question is why is this piece appearing in Mercopenguin, a British government propaganda organ supposedly devoted to America, South America and the “South Atlantic”?
