    Let them squirm and deny all charges....the evidence Janot presented, along with Palocci's testimony of yesterday (to Judge Moro), both Lula and Dilma (plus Palocci, Mantega, Gleisi Hoffmann & her husband, and Vaccari Neto) are being buried in more of their own sh*t.

    Watching Lula's lawyer, one can't help thinking , “what a pathetic idiot he is”...his only defence is the conspiracy theory, and that EVERYONE else, is out to get Lula - the most honest man in Brazil ; he must be getting paid a fortune (from stolen money), but his insistence in flogging a dead horse can't be doing his reputation much good...

    The rest of the politicians must be considering Geddel, a fool for getting caught while they ALL can deny the charges!

    Correction to the above :
    “....now all they have to do is bury him before he starts to sTink...”

    Only 5 months ago, Lula was praising Palocci as “one of the most intelligent men in Brazil”, and that in view of their very close friendship for the past 30 years, “he didn't believe Palocci would ever resort to a plea-bargain to save his butt ”.....How wrong he was...yesterday he was foul-mouthing Palocci, calling him a traitor....well, if Lula considers Palocci a traitor, that implies that what Palocci said - about the Atibaia home, the Guarujá 'triplex', his condo in SBC, the Instituto Lula, and the R$ 300 million received from Emilio Odebrecht - is most likely, very true...
    “Lula pres - idiário em 2018”...Que sifo !

    It's highly entertaining to know that day by day, the serial - “Alibaba & 2'000 Thieves” - is getting more & more dramatic!

    And the soap opera is still only in the first chapters...there's still more regarding PB, Eletrobras, the BNDES' 'foreign' contracts, the state-run pension funds', Nuclebras and tons of other related crimes to be investigated....guaranteed entertainment for years to come...

    “A representative for Rousseff said the prosecutor’s office had offered no evidence of the crimes and called on the Supreme Court to guarantee the right to defend against them.” Whats new, that’s how things are done in LaLa Land, “For my friends, anything - for my enemies, the law,” Getulio Vargas. The definition is known as lawfare, keep your political opponents tied up with bogus charges, keep throwing mud in the chance some will stick. Which is against the constitution.
    “In the past year, elected President Dilma Rousseff has been acquitted at least five times of the charges that led Congress to withdraw her from the post for which she had been re-elected in 2014. The most recent of these was today, with the news that the TCU (Court of Audit of the Union) absolved Dilma of having committed “any irregular act” in the purchase of the Pasadena refinery ..”
    Brasil Wire, August 31, 2017
    “The MPF-DF (Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office in Brasilia) requested on Friday (1st) the acquittal of former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in the case of an alleged attempt to buy the silence of the ex-Director of Petrobras, Nestor Cerveró.
    Investigators concluded that there is no evidence that he had participated in the criminal scheme. The MPF decision casts fresh doubt on the reliability of evidence obtained in Lava Jato plea-bargains.”

    Let's see how this Brazilian right manages in their bid to bury the most popular president in the country 's story under fabricated charges.
    Lula's trip to the NE mobilized unprecedented crowds, showing not one is buying the accusations a prisoner is making against him to obtain a reduction of time.
    All they can do is keep trying. But the people won't forget who really Lula is.

    EM,
    Brazilian 'right'.......wherever did you get that ??? no one 'in power', is 'right'...only in your imagination, in order to avoid admiiting that such things could happen in a 'decent, centre-left government'.....isn't it, Reekie ?

    Just fyi, Lula's NE caravan was a flop....Lula's staff arranged places where dozens of thousands would fit, but had a nasty surprise they had no more than 20% of the expected turnout...in many places far less...the photos shown on the news channels, proves it. ....when questioned about the apparent fiasco, Lula was quick to say, “we only came here to talk to the unions and our local leaderships, we were not expecting large turnouts”....
    No one believed him...I wonder why ...
    You're right about Lula, the people will never forget who he REALLY is...most already know.

    @EM:

    REF: “But the people won't forget who really Lula is”: The people who will NEVER forget who Lula is or was; think that he STILL is the president of Brazil! THAT's the level of information they have! Just visit the interiors of a few Brazilian states and ask the roadside-crowd “who the present president is”; if you refuse to believe.

    Watching the arrival of Lula's followers in Curitiba, was a repeat of all his polilitical rallies in the northeast.....didn't take long to see the hired buses rolling in, probably 100 of them , carrying the same crowd of about 5,000 who are being paid to wear their red PT 'T'-shirts, wave the red flags, and generally shout political slogans when instructed to...their appearance on the scene was “so spontaneous”, that I found it strange when the cameras focused on small groups being told what to do, and when....after it's over, they'll collect their money, get their sandwich and crowd back on to the buses, until they are needed again...but now that the “Contribuição Sindical” has been abolished, I wonder how the unions are going to keep on financing these poor slobs...

    @JB:

    True!

    REF: “I wonder how the unions are going to keep on financing these poor slobs...”:

    They don't have to depend totally on the unions to throw a few sandwiches into their begging bowls. There are [+/-] 2'000 “donors”; EAGER to earn the votes of the miserable ignorant.
