Britain has no major warships deployed on operations beyond home waters in what has been described as an “unprecedented” absence of the vessels on the world stage. Dec 21st, 2017 - 12:33 pm - Link - Report abuse +2France had same shortage of destroyers and frigates when they brought their current carrier in- no money after a big ship like that to spend on the smaller new ones needed- French Navy now has more smaller ones. Give it 5 yrs or so and Royal Navy also will have more new frigates etc- same reason.
