With some eight months to the Argentine primaries when presidential hopefuls for the October election to reelect or oust Mauricio Macri will be chosen, pollster Opinaia, shows that most pre-candidates have a greater negative than positive image. This is possible because of the disenchantment of Argentines with their political system and economic situation. Read full article

CFK is a moral saint compared to many of the current demagogues running many countries right now. Trump, who has shutdown a government and given a national television speeche to denounce the evil foreigners killing
“some thousands” (source?) of US citizens, yet has not done remotely anything of the sort to tackle the issue of 40000 US citizens being gunned down YEARLY by OTHER US citizens, is exhibit A. Pretending to care about those few murdered by some illegal alien, but ignoring the many dying because of the barbaric US laws about firearms. And fomenting a brand of racism a la 1930s Kristalnacht. And that's before getting into Putin, Erdogan, the crown Prince, Bolsonaro, Maduro, Ortega, Duterte... Or the complete disfunction currently in France, UK, Italy, Japan, etc...

Funny that all the CFK haters have said nothing about the far worse demagoguery, lies, and vitriol being spewed by many current politicians in their own countries right now.

So, you're one of those hard line Russian Trump supporters that post silly outrageous things on the internet to fool dimwit leftists with fake vitriol?

TDS*: It's a serious worldwide problem afflicting paranoid snowflakes like yourself...

    *Trump derangement syndrome

I am not a hipocrite like you, that is.

If you took all of Trumps views and statements and transplanted them to a brown-haired Spanish speaking president whose last name was Sanchez, you would be the first here calling him out as another typical populist driving wedges between social classes and races in order to maintain power. For government policies that are hopelessly short term in order to win votes and pander to the masses, but policies which long term spell disaster as they wreck diplomatic partnerships that take years or decades to cultivate, and create total investing uncertainty in businesses given the near daily shifts in trade policy.

But I guess you are one of those people who sees an Anglo dumping a big bowel movement and thinking that it must be something better
or smarter than the same exact smelling stuff dumped by a darker skinned hermano.

    Come on, sing it!

    the Trumpist boys
    All united will stand
    And as always we will
    Sing our hearts out
    ¡Hail Trump! ¡Hail Trump!

Because of that great United Stasian
    That knew how to conquer
    The American masses
    Fighting against capital.

¡Perón, Perón, how great you are!
¡My general, how worthy you are!
    ¡Trumo, Trump, our great leader,
You are the first working man!

I'm reminded of brown-haired Spanish speaking president whose last name was Castro.

    POEMA CUBANO

    Resiste todo apagón
    Ilumínate con vela,
    Cepilla con sal tus muelas
    Y come como un ratón,
    Trabaja como un cabrón
    Límpiate bien sin papel,
    Endulza el café con miel
    Monta en carretón de mulo,
    Aprieta bien ese culo
    Y grita: ¡VIVA FIDEL!

    Tómate el agua caliente,
    Al baño ve sin jabón,
    Toma el azuquín por ron
    Para despejar la mente,
    Friega bien sin detergente,
    Haz las cartas sin papel,
    Dibuja bien sin pincel,
    Haz comida sin carbón,
    Y para ser más cabrón,
    Repite: ¡VIVA FIDEL!

There's lots more to the poem, but you already know it by heart.

“...but a moderate opposition figure is emerging.”

The existence of a “centrist” candidate would of course be Macri's dream come October.

A dissident Peronist such as Sergio Massa was hopelessly far from winning anything in the 2015 election, but the few points he received were subtracted to CFK and therefore enough to allow the Cambiemos alliance led by Macri to win the election.

No matter what, Macri and his gang have succeeded in dismantling the Argentine economy and created a monstrous foreign debt now equal to one GDP.

There will be a lot of work for the judicial system come December.

Elect Jose Luis Espert for president and Argentina has got a future. The other stooges will only prolong the agony.

    Sure.

Anybody but Macri, Vidal and other members of the current highway robbery gang.
