The impact of Brexit on the Falkland Islands has been raised in the UK’s House of Lords, with Lib Dem Lord Nigel Jones tabling questions to the Foreign Office. Lord Jones asked the government what assessment they had made of the Falklands’ EU exports, and the impact of World Trade Organization tariffs on Islands fisheries. Read full article

    Another “unseen” and, in the UK context, largely unforecasted consequence of the stupidity that is Brexit.
    I hope that the UK representative has been hammering on the door of Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and all the other deceivers about the position that Brexit isolationism puts the Falklands (and Gibraltar) in.
    Paraphrasing Churchill - democracy is far too important to be put in the hands of the general population!
