Well after reading several media reports, the blackout was/is not to do with the Yanki imperialists and instead of the government's terrible mismanagement of the country's power grid.

The timing seemed highly suspicious and I assumed that the CIA or similar was involved in the disaster, but it's very clear that Maduro's government is at fault.
