Is that all..., you Engrish copper...?
In the opinion of this humble Patagonian..., the fig leaf on the FIG(leaf) is getting smaller and smaller in these BREXIT times...
An inverted devolvment..., I would call it...
And there ain't no damn Kelper in them windblown Isles with balls enough to tell them Engrish Superheads that the Kelpers representant in London should be a Kelper(ette)...
Pity...
The FIG will have to explain their choice to their voters Think.

we must assume no suitably qualified kelpers applied and young richard was the front runner of the non-kelpers. let's review his performance in 2048 when he will have served the same amount of time in post as kelper sukey!
Apr 11th, 2019 - 04:18 pm - Link - Report abuse 0What is the point of this professional lobbyist? When I read the job spec for the UK rep position I got the clear impression that they were after a Falklander - not some jumped up talking head whose most recent claims to fame include defending the rights of European Vapers, of Master Builders and Landlords.......I ask you????
Apr 11th, 2019 - 05:02 pm - Link - Report abuse +3Is this guy going to be allowed to still run his own private lobbying company in combination with the Falklands representation or will he be told to concentrate on this job and get his snout out of the trough?
Mr. RedBaron... (Strange nick for an Engrishman... b.t.w...)
Apr 11th, 2019 - 09:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I Think Mr. Hyslop should be allowed to keep all his other activities whilst in London...
Taking in consideration the amount of workload that is at 14 Broadway..., he wouldn't have nothin' to do on tuesdays..., wednesdays..., thursdays and friidays...
Think (let's just say I have a liking for rebels and for aviators) - If the FI UK rep job is a part-time as you suggest, then why is HM Government willing to pay a ROYAL full-time salary to this position and why does he need any additional staff?
Apr 12th, 2019 - 09:20 am - Link - Report abuse 0Is the salary of the UK rep and the entire London staff/ office paid by FIG or by the UK government because the rent and salaries alone would seem to add up to quite a chunk of the overall Island turnover/ annual budget.
I'm sure that the Islands need a lobbyist but the costs involved (and the selection process/ outcome) seem to bear no relation to the task in hand.
Excelent questions Mr.RedBaron...

Oh! OH! Sock puppetry alert.
