Argentina managed a quarterly primary surplus during the first quarter

Argentina ran a primary fiscal deficit of 13.037 billion pesos (US$ 305.32 million) in March, the country’s Treasury minister Nicolás Dujovne said at a press conference on Monday, though posted a first-quarter surplus of 10.347 billion pesos. Read full article

    This story is a joke, or just a propaganda piece.

    Achieving a “surplus” while starving the marketplace of currency and killing any remaining economic activity not only is not precisely a good news story.

    Of course, the decision power is no longer with minister Dujovne, not even with president Macri. The boss is now Mme. Lagarde, and the IMF is going ahead with its usual agenda that has starved the Argentine economy before as well as that of other countries.

    All Macri and his gang have achieved in 3 and a half years is to place the country in a dead end from which there is no easy solution.

    Talk about a heavy inheritance for the next government.
