Of course, once the election happened without the main candidate, not much else matters.

In any event, it's good to see some judges attempting to mitigate some of the damage inflicted on Lula. Let's hope that Brazilians, having already felt a taste of what the president they elected is capable of, begin asking for Lula's quick, full release.

The Italian Luigi Ferrajoli, one of the most renowned jurists in the world, Father of the criminal garantismo, said that the process of Lula is something shameful and scandalous for the lack of evidence, the acceleration in order to prevent his application to the presidency and the Judge, who assaulted the accused in press collectives and used the media to condemn lula in advance, thus setting up a political trial.

An apt lesson to those disillusioned who are still bent upon taking politics+politicians + the political parties seriously!

The lawsuit against former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva for alleged corruption involving a triplet in Guarujá (SP) gives the idea of an “impressive lack of impartiality on the part of the judges and prosecutors who promoted it,” says Italian jurist Luigi Ferrajoli .

GGN Newspaper - One of the most renowned jurists in the world, Luigi Ferrajoli, during an international event in solidarity with Lula, said that the arrest of the former president and the impeachment of Dilma Rousseff were the result of a process of political persecution triggered by the use of judicial remedies. For Ferrajoli, the most worrying and “scandalous” is that lawfare seems to have become a method for reaching power in the post-war West, putting democracies at risk.

I see you insist on talking about a subject you know little, or nothing about. Stick to Macri and CFK, who are more up your lane.....But don't worry, what the 'petistas' want will have no bearing on the courts' decisions.
And while, at least theoretically, he might be up for parole in September, I wouldn't count on it....a decision regarding the 2nd federal case against the toad (Atibaia country home) should be out soon, after which, all that is needed is the TRF-4 to confirm his conviction, for him to stay right where he is.
At least Gollum supports your theory.

“Britain's The Guardian highlighted that Lula has classified members of the Bolsonaro government as ”minions of the United States,“ and reproduced one of his lines on ”I have never seen a president greet the American flag. I've never seen a president come out saying, 'I love the United States. You must love your mother, you must love your country. What is it about loving the United States? Does anyone really think the United States will favour Brazil? “, Quoted The Guardian.”

    Gollum
“Does anyone really think the United States will favour Brazil ?”......quoted by you, idiot, from the Guardian's report on the toad's ridiculous press conference.

And don't flatter yourself by believing you know what I think.... you don't ...but by all means keep on listening to the voices in your slimy head.

...and talking of minions, better one of the USA than Chavez' and Fidel's....even better is the good news that Lula will meet up with them pretty soon....
The fact that you continually lap up the toad's crap does not say much for your intellect.

“believing you know what I think...” Since your anything but reticent when it comes to opining. What you believe are thoughts are much closer to emotive responses, since your credo has already been proffered at every opportunity.
What you are as an typical reactionary has already been measured and quantified.

”keep on listening to the voices in your slimy head.” Then I'd be just like you. I'll stick to carefully researching the issues,
as its enough with you making a complete horse's ass of yourself.

If they don't; the US really should favor Brazil - a MUST! How else can they be closer to the largest source of drugs?

But the major is that hope is just around the corner, as the Serasa is prospering - actually flooded with “Clients”:
