Sure, some people love her - like you and Enrique - but there are lots who can't stand her. Why else would she have Alberto stand for president in her place? Unless you think it's the reason ZB suggested - that she'd have to resign from the senate to stand for president, giving up her immunity.

@DT: She just has a very leftist rethoric, which she has moderated recently. The young and unexperienced love her for the supposed ideals. Some grown ups love her because they found a place in which not to think or work. That's about it. Macri on the other hand, welll, who knows? Everybody supposedly hates him right now, but many of those haters will still vote him to keep Cristina out.
Of course it is all about the stupid economy. If the USD price stays put, he might just as well get re-elected.
Not much to choose from.
It's unfortunate to be voting for someone to keep the other guy out, but common in a lot of countries right now. I hope the economy in Argentina improves, no matter who wins.
”Some grown ups love (CFK) because they found a place in which not to think or work.”
I see you are freely borrowing the favourite argument of the Argentine elite -- an argument that has permeated society to the point even some workers echo it.
Tell you what. It was very smart on the part of the wealthy to think of it. So it is not that workers are paid a pittance -- the big problem is, they are lazy -- they definitely do not want to work. Unemployment? Such thing does not exist! It's just people are afraid to look for work and find it!
The reasoning? Old and simple. Blame the victim. All is well!
That's quite what I meant. Please forgive the brevity in my earlier post. I must clarify that I the group that I referred to as those who found a place in which not to think or work; is composed by that body of public workers that do nothing or carry their own activities while being paid by the state.
It is also fair to say that this staple of Argentina's politics is not an exclusive trademark of Mrs. Kirchner, as you will find today as many yellow gnoccis under Mr. Macri's administration.
On the other hand, it is also true that many people has just stopped attempting looking for a formal job. Those who get paid under the table are not included in the statistics. These people are not the lazy ones, these are the ones that keep things going yet have no access to credit or proper medical care.
The BEST Government is the only ONE which helps a vast majority to improve the Standard/Quality of their Everyday-Life while drastically reducing the Cost of Living - and FU*K the Ideologies/Belief-Systems!

Why'd he go to an English school if his family's Italian? Oooh, is it because Argentines are Italians who speak Spanish and wish they were English?
