A whole lot of stories refer to Argentina's disastrous situation -- but no free-market cheerleaders go there. Of course, Argentina's experience is an indictment of most neocon theories, something they prefer not to comment on.

TF neglects to tell that often, looters are shot. Probably a small price to pay in his view.

Argentina is a clear example of people using socialist slogans to get rich by milking the workers and keeping the poor hostage.
If you are so delighted by the kind of society you envision coming out of this chaos, why don't you take the lead and move to Cuba, Venezuela or La Matanza?

Have you noticed that they all seem to be using new, high quality tents? And they are only protesting for 48 hours. So it would seem that these are people who have homes and have gone out and bought tents (and in at least some cases cooked expensive food using expensive cookware, I am informed) in order to show how poor and starving they are. This is not the display of poverty that it claims to be. The truly poor would have tents made from any available scrap materials, if they were lucky... (cue. Monty Python)
