An image of Argentina's saint patron, the Virgin of Lujan, which was carried to the Falklands during the 1982 conflict, and remained unaccounted for during years, will be returned by the United Kingdom. In retribution, the Argentine military bishop will hand a replica of the image to the head of British military chaplains in a ceremony to take place next month in the Vatican with Pope Francis blessing the images. Sep 17th, 2019 - 06:49 am - Link - Report abuse 0Is this not considered spoils of war ? If it was on the other hand I am sure the Argies would want to want money for its return.

Sep 17th, 2019 - 10:53 am - Link - Report abuse +1Not the one in the glass box then. Pity. How about that gets returned too. Get one, get another one free? Two dolls for the price of none? Such Argentine symbols in the Islands will be a constant source of aggravation until they are all removed. Including the bodies that Argentina left behind.

Sep 18th, 2019 - 04:09 pm - Link - Report abuse -7The respect shown in here by them Anglo Anglicans for the Catlicks is...., sooo Anglo Anglican...
With that kind of attitude..., it can't surprise no one that them windblown Islands Anglo Anglican coppers have reached nowhere in their Anglo Anglican investigation of the twice desecreted Catlick Argie Cemetery at Darwin...
And then the WASP's ask themselwes why the WASC's distrust them so much...!
Simples...
Speaking of desecration...any arrests on this case, Borracho?

From my recollection Think, the first investigation indicated an Argentine offender but then hit a brick wall when the Argentine Police would not take enquiries further. Still sitting as an open case on someone's desk.
Sep 18th, 2019 - 10:49 pm - Link - Report abuse +2There is less information regarding second damage event, but without witnesses, such is the frustrating lot of the investigator.
Perhaps you can pull some weight with the Argie Polis and get the first one sorted. No?
Religion is just State-certified, organised indoctrination Think. Probably a lot of it in Argieland. The people seem susceptible to that sort of thing.
;-)
As usual with you..., copper your recollection is just what you want it to be...
Sep 18th, 2019 - 11:05 pm - Link - Report abuse -5I challange you to link to any kind of Kelper or Engrish document that... in any way..., suggests that...: ***the first investigation indicated an Argentine offender***........., or hold your peace...
We agree..., in principle..., about State & Religion...
People are indeed quite susceptible to that sort of thing...
That's why..., Thinking people ought to show respect to said susceptibilities...
And as is demonstrated, Peronists are incapable of such sentiments... :)

The investigation into the vandalized hermitage at the Argentine Cemetery in the Falklands has seen the local police investigation extend to the UK and Argentina. Forensic material has been sent to Britain and Falklands’ police have requested the Malvinas Families Commission to help identify the origin of a Spanish Bible with a message signed by a “Viviana” found inside the attacked shrine.

The origin of a Spanish Bible with a message signed by a “Viviana” found inside the attacked shrine perfectly explained already in August 2012..., laddie...

Do you have ANYTHING to show other than Engrish Polics Incompetence & your wish to deflect responsibility..., copper...?
Explained Think? By Natasha? LOL You challenged, I came through. Your excuses are revealed as just that. Argentine suspect, NOT explained away by Argie bullcrap.

Read before shooting laddie.... You are an Engrish bobbie..., not a Wild West Sheriff...
My linked article..., intended to clarify some of your friend Natasha's incongruencies and misinformations..., was written by Armando Scévola, Ulises Monzón and Ricardo Lucero the three Argie Malvinas veterans that..., on the 14/05/2012..., left the said bible in front of the Virgin at the Darwin Argie cemetery.....
The damage to the statue reported in January 2017 was almost certainly not anti-Catholic and not anti-Argentina.The damage was probably accidental and done by the person who broke the lock and placed Argentine religious items inside the glass case.

Three Argie witnesses? Did they make statements to the police or just the Argie press? LOL Doesn't explain how it got into the case Think. 2012 looks like an Argie job. And argies have some reputation for desecrating their own graveyards, now don't they?
Sep 19th, 2019 - 09:54 pm - Link - Report abuse +1Of course there would be no problem if the whole cemetery was packed up and shipped to the invading country.
Although reported in January 2017, the damage took place prior to 20th November 2016. I am sure the damage was accidental, caused either by clumsiness or by the weather (e.g. a pebble caught by the wind). If the damage had been deliberate – motivated by hatred of the Catholic Church or Argentina – it would have been far more extensive.
Sep 20th, 2019 - 08:14 am - Link - Report abuse 0Someone who disliked the Catholic Church or Argentina would not have left prayer cards of St Jose Gabriel del Rosario Brochero and the Virgen del Rosario de San Nicolás inside the case, or two small statues of Our Lady of Lujan in front of the case.
My dear Engrish bobby...
Sep 20th, 2019 - 11:32 am - Link - Report abuse -2Let's summarize and please correct me if I made mistakes..., shall we...?
1) You start by saying that...:
***From my recollection Think, the first investigation indicated an Argentine offender but then hit a brick wall when the Argentine Police would not take enquiries further..***
2) I challenge you to...:***”Link to any kind of Kelper or Engrish document that... in any way..., suggests that the first investigation indicated an Argentine offender”***
3) You respond by providing a link from a PenguinPress article that states...:
***” The police have requested the Malvinas Families Commission to help identify the origin of a Spanish Bible with a message signed by a “Viviana” found inside the attacked shrine.”***
4) I provided you with a link to a 2012 article written and photographically documented by the three Argie war veterans that brought and placed the said bible in front of the shrine some months before its desacration...
As you also can read in the article..., the Malvinas Families Commission was simultaneously duly informed...
5) Your last desperate argument is...:
***”Doesn't explain how it... (N.A. : The little Spanish language bible that can be evaluated on the pictures from my provided link...)... got into the case Think. ”***
- To the above I do respond with a question and a picture...:
Ain't this hole big enough for you..., copper...?
