France is expected to be Brazil's biggest military threat over the next 20 years and could invade the Amazon in 2035, according to a secret report published by Brazilian media on Friday. Although the French embassy jokingly “saluted” its “limitless imagination”, the military document is aimed at redefining the country's foreign policy strategy and could add yet another chapter to its troubled relations with France. Delirious reflection of the mindset of the loony extremists that currently control the government of Brazil.

This reminds me so much of my time in the military on the other side of the world.
The “Kymerian” attacks on Australia were all well thought out and based on strategic targets that were genuine if not well known to the general public.
The attack and defence strategies were based on the correct military training from both sided. When enacted they were found to be in line with their expected outcome. Both sides trained and conducted the exercise using their own military thinking.
“Kymeria” was a fictitious country made up of a group of islands off the northern coast of Australia. Indonesia played the Kymerians in the military exercises.
Here France will play the “enemy” in joint exercises on Brazilian soil. It will work well as both sides will have training on a larger scale than each would have been able to afford. The Yanks will have troops on both sides due to the fact that in Exercises only Americans are allowed to shoot and kill American troops. “It is bad for morale if American soldiers are killed by non American forces”

Making plans for far-fetched scenarios is normal. Suggesting France might actually invade Brazil is nutty - and about what we'd expect from this government.

I Think..., Bolsonaro should obey his (colostomised) gut feeling and follow the Yank/Israeli Modus Operandi...

Launch an anihilating..., full blown preemptive invasion against that French base on the Brasilian Northern Territories...

He's still under treatment for the hernia caused by the wound he received during the election, and he's high as a kite.

    France? Why France?

Why not Haiti - it was, afterall, a French colony once? or perhaps Monaco?

    “Why France?”

Shares a border with Brazil (French Guiana) and is strong but not too strong (better army but located far away). The military have to justify that large budget somehow. Also there's gold in French Guiana; Brazilian miners are always illegally crossing the border. This government wants to take over indigenous territories to mine them, perhaps they think they can do the same with the French one?

As for Bolsonaro, he was just as crazy before he got stabbed in the gut.
