    TWIMC...

    Article says...:
***“The Falkland Islands badminton team has attended the tournament draw where we paid our entry fee to officially enter the tournament and we have insisted on our flag flying proudly alongside the other country's flags.”***
    I say...:
Well..., the BWF has decided that the Kelpers BOT Flag DOES NOT fly proudly alongside the other country's flags...
What now..., I ask...? More Politics...? Lodging a formal complaint with the BWF against the BWF...?
    https://bwfbadminton.com/results/3724/male-female-pan-am-team-continental-championships-2020/podium

    Article continues saying...:
***“An incident of similar conditions occurred last year with cricket and the International Cricket Council, which finally entitled the Falkland Islands to take part in the annual South American cricket championship, and extended to the Falklands Cricket Association its ICC status.”***
    I say...:
It will be Cricket to see..., if the FIG(leaf) continues with its usual Politics of mixing Sports and Politics by enrolling yet another uncommpetitive Kelper Team..., this time in the 2020 South American Cricket Championship...

    Capisce...?

Yet more nasty ideas about sport from an Argie that cannot THINK. Just because a team isn't as good as others doesn't mean it can't compete.

The Falklands is a FULL member of both the BWF and ICC. Get over it little Argie. Nothing to do with FIG. Only an Argie could think this way

    Mr. BrianFI...

I am NOT arguing at all that because a team isn't “as good as others” it can't compete....!

I'm arguing that if a team (or individual) is really baaad..., it shouldn't be enrolled to compete against far superior contenders...!
(Not for sports nor political reasons...)

Tell me..., would you enjoy..., as a normal Thinking Kelper I assume you are..., being enrolled to play a chess game against a FIDE Master Level Argie...?
I can assure you that the enjoyment would be as low on the Argie side...!

That doesn't exclude that we both could have a lot of fun in an homicidialy fast game of Badminton... (Asuming you ain't an Engrish County Master in his early thirties..., that is :-)

    Capisce...?

So you also think the Faroe Islands, Liechtenstein or Luxembourg shouldn't play football against Germany or Spain? Maybe Chile and Uruguay shouldn't play Rugby.

Only an Argie would think like this.

Of course the Falklands completed the Badminton Cup successfully.

    Why shouldn't they?

It's no surprise to anyone with more than three brain cells that a team, the basis of which is a population of 3,400, had an extremely narrow chance to win.
The team undoubtedly learned a lot from watching the very best. Anyone who can think understands that.

    Geeeeee..., Copper...!

Are you perhaps accusing BWF's Deputy President..., Mme. Khunying Patama Leeswadtraku..., under Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King วชิราลงกรณ of inconsistency...?

Things like that ain't wieved mildly by Siams law..., specially when the haughty offender is an Engrish Farang... ;-)

You got it wrong, SantiagoM, it's “England will return to the Malvinas within 25 years, when these mythical islands have been located.”
