    One may be tempted to call Jair Bolsonaro “crazy” in the same way others view US president Donald Trump.

    That would be a mistake. Far from being crazy, these two characters are following direction from their main supporters, aka large corporations (and evangelical churches for Bolsonaro) which do not want to hear anything about shutting down the “economy.”

    In their blind greed, these business-friendly characters do not see the need to keep the population alive if there is going to be any economy at all once the pandemic subsides.

    Consider Trump's desire to “open” the USA again by Easter, in defiance of health care experts who argue this premature opening would just spell catastrophe.
