Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a stalwart liberal on the U.S. Supreme Court since 1993, died on Friday at age 87, the court said, giving President Donald Trump a chance to expand its conservative majority with a third appointment at a time of deep divisions in America with a presidential election looming.     My oh my, I thought I was living in controversy with our illegal annual celebration yesterday, but I awoke this morning's news feeds — including a tweet from a business associate who has seriously wagered that Trump will not be re-elected.

    He related that the coming firestorm over replacing the Supreme Court Justice will energize the Biden base — and I simply asked if he wanted to double down on our bet.
    In shocked reaction, he leaped upon the new wager.

    It looks like Trump will select from his previously submitted list of nominees, and the most prominent is Amy Coney Barrett. I think Trump has nothing to lose to push on and completely go against his opponents.
