The Falkland Islands Executive Council has approved a framework for assessing who should be considered a ‘prohibited person’. Under the umbrella of a wider approach, the issue also refers to the reiterative problems with some visiting Argentines whose conduct of displaying symbols or disregarding local authorities cause alarm and distress among the local population. Given the continuing threats from the Argentine government and some individuals, a zero tolerance policy should be pursued. These people only understand strength anything less invites further harassment.

No problem with the great majority of visitors who are well behaved and respectful- and who quietly keep their political differences out of their visit. In the Argentine Military Cemetery at Darwin they are even allowed to hold their National Flag in respect to a fallen soldier alongside his grave- and low down for a photo for his family, below waist level-that is respect to man who died in the uniform of his Country-some of us don't like even that,but we respect it.

As long as the Argentine Republic has an article in its constitution saying the the Falklands are part of it, as long as the country is full propaganda signs saying “Malvinas son Argentinas” and as long as all schools are indoctrinating the pupils with “malvinism”, citizens of that country should need a visa to visit the islands. That is no problem for “well behaved and respectful” visitors, but those who come there to make political stunts and show disrespectful behavior should be blocked indefinitely.
