In response to “Think” Although I have not previously considered the journalistic prominence of the Argentine columnist Joaquín Morales Solá. I decided to just do a “Wiki Search” about him. His journalistic history goes way back and he seems to have held a number of prominent journalistic posts. It seems that he diverged away from the Kirchner a number of years ago and now like all those who 'have been born again in a new light' has switched to strong opposition of that camp. This can be understood by all but the blind.
Just because you change sides does not automatically make you no longer a 'Prominent Argentine Columnist' . With this in mind I believe that your attack on the MercoPress unfounded especially as it is based in Uruguay and not in the area known as the British Isles or any overseas territory that uses 'The Westminster' form of government. If you were not specifically attacking MercoPress then it may have been better to refer to the media group to which you refer as, maybe, the English speaking press which should clear up this disputed section of your comment.

    Mr. MarkWhelan...

    1) Argentine columnist Joaquín Morales Solá diverged away from normal human ethic behaviour a number of years ago... most precisely during the seventies were he documentedly was a spokesman for the dictatorship and visited several of their torture & killing camps...
All readily available information on Google...
I even linked to a 10 years auld article...

    2) Since when is it an “Attack” to disclose the true source of financing and Ideology of an information source...?
Just go to the British Falkland Islands Association site...: https://www.fiassociation.com/links
Scroll down to...: “FALKLAND ISLANDS NEWS AGENCIES”
Whats the name of the last NEWS AGENCY on that short British list...?

    3) As you soooooo well expressed it in your comment above..., Mr Whelan...:

Thank you “Think” for the edification of the financing of MercoPress.
It is strange that the Official site of MercoPress does not show it's financial support but if you go to https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/mercopress you get another and perhaps more worrying aspect about the ownership of this news source.

    Anglo Mr. MarkWhelan...

I couldn't avoid noticing that you seem to have lost interest in defending Prominent Argentine columnist Joaquín Morales Solá bonhomie... and try now instead more interested of shifting risponazbility for MercoPress's ideology over to them Yanks...

Maybe so because you googled Morales Solá correctly...?
Maybe because you didn't cared a shiat about Morales Solá to begin with...?
Maybe because as with Dictator Pinochet..., the enemies of your enemies are your friends...?
Or maybe because as with Julian Assange..., the enemies of your friends are your enemies .....?

    Think
I raised my point about the reporter just as a point that the title of “Prominent Journalist” did not rely on the opinions of just one reader but that of the general population, the journalistic history of the reporter and the influence of his articles.

I am only Anglo by adoption. My natal nationality is doubtful as I was born in the colonies during the Korean War..
In some societies I would be called a “War Child” others may call me a “Love Child” others less polite may even call me a bastard. But I can tell you that my adoptive parents chose me and chose to raise me in the best way possible. With this in mind I would not consider lowering my standard by making any comment on your nationality or upbringing as that would be impolite.

    Mr. MarkWhelan...

The bloodstained journalistic history of this “Prominent Argie Journalist” is EXACTLY what I have questioned above...

I am quite positive that Mr. William Brooke Joyce..., a.k.a. “Lord Haw Haw”..., also had the acceptance of part of the “general population”..., that he had acceptable journalistic skills & diction and that the influence of his articles..................... well............., the influence of his articles was what made your adoptive Country to hang him...
    Capisce...?

To finish..., as I don't consider it an “Attack” to the free press to disclose its finances and ideology (as a matter of fact they do it themselves..., if they are any good)....., I neither consider it “low standard” or “impolite” to mention FACTS about the REALPOLITIK of your adopted Country...

    Nothing personal...
This can be understood by all but the blind...
