    So after that torturous Brexit, it seems that Spain is no closer to its (false) irredentism than it was before.

    The EU has taught all its members a lesson, if you try to leave we will stalk and berate you until you had wished you didn't. Seems democracy is quite the annoyance.

    A lesson for Scotland. If it thinks it will declare independence and rejoin the EU, there is a future lesson that the EU wants to teach some of the wayward provinces of its members..... and it won't be pretty.

    The EU is a great project and ideal. It just isn't a perfect fit for everyone.
