    A similar poll in Brazil might show that an 'overwhelming majority' of Brazilians would favor dismantling the urban centers of Europe and returning the landscape to pre-Roman forest cover or plowing under the mid-western US corn fields to let 'the buffalo roam'.

    As you well know the ecological disaster of the Amazon basin has been going on for decades under a succession of numerous governments and the area covers vast parts of not only Brazil — but Bolivia, Peru, Columbia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname and part of Europe itself (French Guiana).

    But the truth is they have taken issue with Bolsonaro — and ignored Lula and Dilma’s mismanagement.
