United States will pledge US$4 billion to a vaccination program for poorer countries at a global economic summit this Friday and hopes other countries will follow and contribute additional funds, the White House anticipated. Read full article

    Nigerian economist Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, incoming director-general of WTO says members, must end export restrictions or even prohibitions on the exports of vaccines,. Surely taxpayers must have priority in countries that prepared and invested in producing vaccines, while others squander resources on conflict, tyranny, polygamy, kleptocracy and addiction to aid and debt. Her homeland is a haven of piracy, corruption and sabotage of oil infrastructure. PRC is supplying AU with vaccine and rich diaspora can sacrifice their billions of bling and some of their fortunes to fund local manufacture. If India can do it so can AU which can repatriate UN fatcats basking in luxury at the expense of boreal taxpayers.
