Rio de Janeiro's police launched an investigation into reports that doses of the coronavirus vaccine may have been diverted after images emerged of healthcare workers sticking needles into elderly people without injecting them. Read full article
Very true. The good news - several healthcare workers have been arrested and are awaiting prosecution....All of them caught on video, only 'pretending' to administer the vaccine to ususpecting elderly people. More good news - after family members complained, and proved their claims, the elderly folk were then vaccinated correctly.
Most cases are from the law-abiding City of Rio de Janeiro.
And all in line the infamous jeitinho for personal gain, and screw everyone else.
SP has enacted tough laws to curb the deviation of vaccines, as well as people being vaccinated before their turn. When/if caught, the fines - if applied - should make a considerable hole in their pockets.
Some, no doubt....but unfortunately bending the rules for personal gain (the 'jeitinho”) is a perverse and pervasive trait in Brazil's culture.
But the towns and cities worst hit by the pandemic are all governed by the liberal crowd.....those who believe in populism and defend political correctness to cover their disgusting behavior.
