Argentina complains of Uruguayan acquiescence to RAF transport aircraft
Argentina filed a formal complaint Tuesday before Uruguay for allowing a British Royal Air Force transport aircraft serving the Falkland Islands to refuel at Montevideo on April 4, it was reported. Read full article

We are simply going about our normal, legal business withe the cooperation of a friendly, helpful neighbour of yours. You could learn a lot from your neighbour. Do you never ask yourself why so few countries have so little interest in your endless whining about islands that were never yours anyway ?

Think- It was a Humanitarian medevac Flight. They happen. Usually they are with Santiago, Chile- and always approved by Argentina- but that means aircraft spends over an hour overflying Argentina- current Covid situation means borders basically closed so last thing- Chile-Falklands and Argentina want is a Chilean plane and crew and Falklands patient having to land in Argentina somewhere due to a mechanical problem.
Apr 10th, 2021 - 11:56 am - Link - Report abuse +1So basic commonsense says direct flight over the sea to Montevideo on the Ur coast- offload patient to Hospital there with no direct physical contact between onboard Falklands medical staff and Ur staff on tarmac- = no Covid spread risk rules broken and patient can move to where the care IS that the patient needs.
