”She is more than we could have ever imagined,” the Sussexes said. ”She is more than we could have ever imagined,” the Sussexes said.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued a statement Sunday regarding the birth of their second child Friday at a California hospital.

“She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

The girl was named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor at 11:40 a.m. Their daughter weighed in at 7 lbs, 11 oz. Lilibet was the Queen's nickname and her middle name is in honor Harry's mother, the late Diana Spencer, Princess of Wales. The new baby is eighth in line to the British throne, behind her grandfather Charles, uncle William, his three children -George, Charlotte and Louis-, her father Harry, and big brother Archie. But being a dual US-UK citizen, Lilibet could in time also become US President.

Lilibet is the Queen's 11th great-grandchild. Buckingham Palace said: “The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news.”

Prince Charles, Prince Harry's father, and the Duchess of Cornwall said: “Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie on the arrival of baby Lilibet Diana. Wishing them all well at this special time.”

Prince William and the Duchess and Cambridge admittes they were “all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili.“

And the newly-wed Prime Minister Boris Johnson conveyed his ”many congratulations“ to the couple.

Following Friday's hospitalization, it was reported that ”both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home.”

The royal couple announced back in February they were expecting an addition to their family, sharing a black-and-white snap of them gazing at each other, while Meghan cradled her baby bump.
