Our family’s favorite sport is skiing as it does not interfere with our harvest season. We were fortunate to acquire and remodel an apartment at Valle Nevado which we look forward to fully enjoy this year!

Obviously, the closure of the borders is having significant impact upon our economy — with the tourism sector being destroyed.

My entire family have been avid skiers including Madame skiing competitively in her youth and successfully winning competitions at Portillo and La Parva.
Until 2019 our family rented a wonderful chalet at Las Leñas for a minimum of three weeks for several seasons as the Argentine hospitality and service there was outstanding!
During the initial pandemic panic and financial shock of the shutdown — we were able to acquire and remodel a wonderful apartment at Valle Nevado — which is notorious for their outrageous high costs of staying and dining at the resort hotel.
I’ve attached another video you may enjoy of your countrymen enjoying the 2018 disappointing snow pack — which Brazilians still have a great time on.

We prefer powder and certainly skiing over snowboarding — but everyone can have a great time on the slopes!
Today we’re having the last asado at the farm until after the ski season ends.

We’ll have to set aside our political differences and embrace the good thing of life — after all — our time to enjoy living is unfortunately limited.
