My Argentinian friends (who travels S. America on business, like you) tell me corruption is endemic in most of S. America and institutionalised in Argentina. Although don’t try and bribe Police in Chile, they are likely to arrest you.
Probably one of the main factors holding back the Continents development is the haemorrhaging of money into off shore accounts.

Our ravenous gypsy clan devoured a marvelous mid-morning buffet that included Madame’s signature fresh from the oven Pain Aux Raisins, made with our own farm’s large sized premium Flame Seedless.
SINFULLY (in one person’s opinion) I’ve already enjoyed TWO mugs of Baileys coffee — which alone will cause Terence to have a another hissy fit.
Although we’re here to enjoy the snow — our planned le déjeuner today is soupe de poissons provençal (utilizing frozen Turbot) served with toasted baguette, grated Gruyère and sauce rouille on the side.
Also, this evening’s fare has already been prepared in advance (ready to go in the oven)— which is a boeuf en croute (the Occitan version to Beef Wellington) made with a whole beef tenderloin, wrapped in pastry dough along with foie gras, thinly sliced cured ham, a paste made of chopped Shiitake mushrooms from our friends and flavored with brandy.)

As you yourself mentioned earlier in this commentary: Probably one of the main factors holding back my continent’s development is the hemorrhaging of money into off-shore accounts.
That is undeniable — but what is even more revealing is much of that “sheltered capital” returns as investments back to our countries — especially to Chile as foreign investment here is strongly protected by law.
A perfect example of this is the vacant apartment above ours here in Valle Nevado is owned by a Colombian who has not leased unit to the public. (Madame and her girlfriend have been trying to negotiate the sublease the apartment for the season and is still waiting for the owner to decide. If they’re successful it would open a number of wonderful opportunities for entertaining friends.)
As I’ve been correctly accused of focusing on my country’s wineries — during this vacation we’ve been sampling some highly recommended selections from our favorite bistro Les Dix Vins.
For today’s delicious le déjeuner we enjoyed a chilled outstanding 2019 Traisental from the Austrian Huber Terrassen winery made with 100% of the Grüner Veltline variety.
Tonight we’re sampling an Italian 2015 Barolo — Prunotto made from Nebbiolo variety grapes that will accompany the beautiful golden crusted boeuf en croute that Madame skillfully assembled earlier today. (This is to be served with honey sautéed carrots and roasted fingerling potatoes from Chiloé.)

The Barolo bottle was very good, but in fairness of a similar quality of a Viña Santa Rita reserva Merlot. (The Barlow cost us USD104 vs the Santa Rita at less than USD6.)
At the once respected French created ski lodge (due to COVID restrictions) wine is served in disposable plastic cups and are all outrageously overpriced! It’s truly sad as unfortunately this pandemic has ruined good dining experiences.
As the nightfall occurred we again enjoy the spectacle of looking down upon the Santiago metropolitan area sparking like millions of little jewels.

The weather today is again stunningly spectacular with the current temperature at minus 6°c with an anticipated high of 0°c in the afternoon with a possibility of more snowfall on Tuesday!
I’ve currently taken a break with our two grandchildren — who needed a midday nap after quickly consuming their soup and sandwiches. This was perfect timing for me to place the suckling pig on the balcony grill for this evening’s fare. (The accompanying dishes are all to be prepared in the kitchen ovens later in the afternoon.)
I am a very privileged babysitter at this very wondrous moment!
Our son-in-law returns to attend to legal issues tomorrow and our son is expected in the next few days — but our Schwiegertochter and kinder are planning to arrive tomorrow as well!

Conditions were spectacular and everyone had their opportunity to again experience the nonpareil light powder snow that is so exhilarating!
Madame and I spent most the afternoon on the bunny slope — with her instructing the children while I marveled at their abilities and I recorded the spectacle on my iPhone. Madame has 8mm movies of her as a young girl and we have our three children on video tape — so we need someday to have the recordings put together in a new digital format.
(Speaking of film — we have Madame competing and WINNING both the slalom and giant slalom completions at El Portillo well before she enchanted a newly commissioned ensign so long ago...)
The magnificent Cochinillo is nearly ready for being removed from the grill and the potatoes and shallots are already in the oven with the honey butter glazed carrots being prepared on the induction cooktop. (Madame has also just removed the sourdough baguettes from the other convection oven and the aroma of the baking is intoxicating as wine!)
Our youngest daughter and her love interest (who have been staying in La Parva) are joining us for our Sunday’s feast and although we’ve just opened another chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot — I’ve set aside a bottle of ‘12 Don Melchor as we fully expect to empty the ‘99 Bordeaux Pomerol rapidly.
They have been heli-skiing — which is also available here at Valle Nevado although Madame and I still have not yet experienced the luxury.

As our son-in-law departed— our Schwiegertochter and kinder arrived yesterday!
Our breakfast buffet includes Madame’s freshly baked buttery flaked croissants with nectarine jam made at our farmhouse. (There were a number of beverages — but personally I enjoyed a couple of sinfully delicious Baileys coffee.)
This day’s le déjeuner is a rich creamy butternut squash soup accompanied with sandwiches of sliced roasted pork and caramelized sweet red onions on sourdough baguettes.
By the way, our evening’s fare was prepared well in advance — which is Madame’s own version of a classic cassoulet which was made in Panquehue and frozen. It’s reheating this morning and will be ready at the end of the day.
(Her rich and elaborate recipe incorporates layers of duck legs from Chillán, two kinds of Llanquehue pork shoulder and sausage combined with a hearty ragout with white Tarbais beans — makes this one of our family favorites. She’s made two separate batches with the second for later during our winter vacation.)
Today will be exceptionally as we’re planning to hit the diamond runs.
PUGOL, I’m highly amused that Terence completely avoided answering my query about the two other lawsuits also involving TRANSVESTITES.
Both my son and son-in-law have a name for someone who represents himself in legal court — LOSER!

(The two oldest cousins handled the intermediate runs exceptionally well and the two youngest have mastered the bunny slope.)
Our mountain 3,000 meter pied-á-terre is rewardingly joyful with the addition of of our Schwiegertochter and two children — with the incredible aroma of Madame’s cassoulet currently permeating our refuge.
It’s far too early yet for our evening’s feast but we’ve opened up a bottle of ‘19 Côtes du Rhône Villages - Domaine de la Bastide made with 40% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 20% Mourvèdre.
(Although it was reasonably priced at USD27 — it is decent and made Madame pleased that we’re supporting Les Dix Vins bistro.)
We’re currently enjoying the wine with Camembert cheese and foie gras with Rhône crackers.
(Our oldest daughter is planning for dessert — soufflés al Tomyère which is a new recipe that she’s mastered.)
Life is especially rewarding for a simple campesino family enjoying a vacation — I can’t imagine why anyone would question our earned right to healthy recreation.

Her recipe comes from Languedoc, a beautiful area that’s also famous for its vineyards and medieval villages. The cuisine matches this rustic landscape, with specialties like duck confit, foie gras and, of course, cassoulet washed down with robust local wine.

This evening’s fare Occitan soupe à l’oignon was prepared last week by Madame at the farmhouse and frozen that has been defrosted and will be served in ramekins topped with gruyère and toasted sourdough and melted in the convection oven.
To support the owners at the Les Dix Vins bistro — we’re planning to open a ‘17 Bordeaux - Château Le Chêne de Margot (modestly priced at USD20) consisting of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec.

Did you notice how Terence expertly cites data from Brigham Young University — the primary educational school of his peculiar faith in Utah? We already know about his inner frustrations about his bishop not approving of his lifestyle — especially his disastrous Popov vodka exploits! (You’ll remember how he hypocritically considers my enjoyment of Baileys coffee as a double sinful admission of debauchery!)

Both under the highway code. Car hit me, driver left, brought someone from his office he claimed to be a witness. Charged under the wrong name of 'Will Terence', got it dismissed as 'I'm not person named'. The other motorist thought like you, he was entitled. Subsequently he got it reapplied.
I was able get it dismissed under plea of 'autrefois acquit', from a reluctant and hostile magistrate; with the support of rulings from both federal and provincial supreme courts.
Subsequently, the other motorist had to pay his own costs, as I instructed my insurance company not pay him.

1. His religion specifically forbids the consumption of caffeine and alcoholic beverages and you can easily observe his unconcealed fury that I enjoy both beverages on a regular basis!
2. Brigham Young University was named after one of the greatest icons of the Mormon Church. That’s fact — and Skippy was the first to mention the University on MercoPress.
3. If you search the 2019 YouTube library of Skippy videos — you’ll specifically see Skippy praise Popov vodka in his videos.
4. As I have found no evidence regarding the two other court cases — perhaps part of what he says may be truthful — but the CATFISHED TRANSVESTITE court case is on video to clearly expose him.

Six times I have been able to prove your claims are totally fictitious.
