Argentine Defense Minister Jorge Taiana and Governor Raúl Jalil of the province of Catamarca signed late last week an agreement whereby the national Army will set up a military unit in the provincial capital. Read full article

I did not know that the Argentine Army was armed with the AK Series of Assault Rifle, is it due to a Funding problem ??

Yes, I noted the same thing when I first read it, now however they seem to be carrying FN variants.
