Ok Dirk, but if you research the region you will discover that stanley is still a small village; like punta arenas, ushuaia, rio grande and rio gallegos were 80 years ago. Stanley is stagnated as time wouldn have passed. Actual descedants of those continental pioneers of those cities are now enjoying the fruits of development, they are the owners of the welth of those cities. Meanwhile actual kelpers are fighting against the same problems they have 60 years ago: isolation, poorcomms, poor links, poor infraestructure, and underdeveloped industries like tourism. Look around the region and you will see that siege mentality is making kelpers to be out of the growth that are enjoying the other southern cities.

Wealth - Big cities, traffic, noise, trash, and shantytowns.

Growth - public debt, fake money, 54% inflation, corrupt government, Peronism, Kirchnerism, kleptocracy, strikes, and soon, Yuan.

@ Billy The Islanders enjoy one of the Worlds Highest GDP per Capita its around £60,000 on average very similar to the Likes of Norway, it is also one of the few countries with Zero Unemployment, it is also the Leading Country in the Southern Hemisphere for Renewable Energy (Wind Turbines), it has also received Awards for its Sustainable Fishing Industry, They are also able to access Global Financial Markets something Argentina has not been able to achieve for decades.
