Congratulations to all who were elected and also to those who put their names forward in the first place. All those elected, apart from one, received the backing of more than half the of the voters. Very well done.

To the one who only had 46% backing, remember that 54% didn’t want you. You made it very clear that you were going to rattle all sorts of cages and straighten the “old guard” out. You couldn’t have made that any clearer. Well guess what? It doesn’t look like the majority of voters supported you.

Still, 46% is rather better than the Tories did in 2019 (43.6%).
